Wlan Analysis At The Push Of A Button: Free Tool Lists All Connected Devices

Description of Wlan Analysis At The Push Of A Button: Free Tool Lists All Connected Devices

A few years ago, the number of devices in the home WLAN was usually manageable. That has changed in many households. If you want to get an overview today, you can do it in several ways. Small programs like O&O Lanytix are particularly convenient. You create a clear report on all devices in the home network.
PC, notebook and maybe even the Smartphone, a few years ago home networks were still very clear. But that's different today: computers, tablets and smart phones are only the tip of the Wi-Fi iceberg. Lots of smart home devices are being added, and game consoles or TVs also want to be online. If you have lost track of things, you can get it back with programs like Lanytix. With this you can clearly list the devices in the home network.

The free network tool "Lanytix" lets you check your home network and clearly lists the devices that have been found.
Portable and easy to use
Lanytix does not have to be installed and clearly lists devices in the home network.
O&O Lanytix has a compact design and is only around 2 MB in size. Plus, you don't need to do a grand installation of the program, just run the exe file. The program does nothing without your consent, i.e. you will see an empty list at the beginning. These changes by clicking on "Scan network".
In a few moments, an extensive list of devices that are on the move in your home WLAN is built up. A progress indicator at the bottom of the screen informs you about the completeness of the scan. Device names are listed where they are available, as well as IP and MAC addresses, ping times, operating system used by the devices, manufacturer names as well as data on the first and last viewing in the network and changes.
Practical additional functions
There are also a few interesting additional functions.
Lanytix offers a few practical additional functions, for example you can use the search function to track down certain devices. You can export the finds as a CSV file. There are a few more specialties in the settings, for example you can specify an IP address range, specify whether and how many ping attempts the program should make and whether the Address Resolution Protocol should be used to collect information.
Optionally, you can also activate logging there. An additional tab "My PC" spits out some basic information about your computer, such as name, network adapter, IP and MAC address as well as the DNS and DHCP servers used. O&O Lanytix 1.0.1339

Alternatives to the device display in WLAN
Wireless Network Watcher also shows the devices in the home network. Lanytix is not the only way to display devices in your home Wi-Fi. For example, you can look up the wireless router. In the FritzBox interface you will find a corresponding device list in the "Home network" area under "Network".
The Windows tool Wireless Network Watcher works similarly to Lanytix and also provides you with a list of all devices in the network. A function that provides information about new devices by means of a signal tone is particularly practical here. In terms of recognition, the programs do not give each other anything; both recognize exactly the same devices during a test run.
