Thanks to PROset technology, addressing, configuration, and maintenance of emergency luminaires become child's play: luminaires equipped with the new EMpower PROset control gear can be programmed directly via the NFC interface.
Procedure: the PROset App application is used to program the luminaire control gear. The smartphone can also be paired with the PROset Pen via Bluetooth (e.g. if it is not possible to access the device integrated in the luminaire with the smartphone) -> selection of the connection option via Bluetooth on the 'homepage.
Note: It is necessary to read a device before the first write -> the article number and the designation of the luminaire, as well as the address area, are available.
Addressing: Small, difficult-to-use rotary switches are now a thing of the past. Now just scroll the text to select the address.
Switching mode: choice between permanent mode (activated in mains mode and emergency mode) and non-permanent mode (deactivated in mains mode). For luminaires not connected to a system, the parameter is set to steady-state by the system.
Dimming levels: adjustment of the dimming levels in mains mode (AC level) and in emergency mode (DC level, only for luminaires powered by a central battery). For luminaires not connected to a system, the parameter is set to default values by the system.
Maintenance function / black box: the new NFC interface provides immediate access to statistics such as faults, temperature, tests carried out, and operating times.
Maintenance / Device replacement: ultra-simple replacement of the device via the NFC interface. It is possible to copy the configuration (operating parameters of the LEDs) from an old device or to select it from a database.
Switchgear replacement using copy function: activate switchgear replacement -> read configuration from old switchgear -> write configuration to the new switchgear. Address, switch mode, and dimming levels are also transferred.
Switchgear replacement via the database: select article number -> write configuration to the new switchgear. The address, switch mode, and dimming levels are configured in a second step.
Features of the application:
- Easy and quick to use.
- Ultra-simple address setting using the scroll wheel. The simplicity of the configuration eliminates errors in the positioning of the selectors.
- Luminaire configuration (switching mode, dimming levels) is possible without a central controller.
- Maintenance: the black box function displays statistics such as faults, temperatures, tests and operating times. Black box data can be sent to head office for further analysis.
