With the AccuBattery app, you can learn everything about the condition of your battery, and how to preserve it.
Many of you have asked me which the best battery app is for Android. Google's mobile operating system already offers a certain amount of information on the battery and its use by applications. To do this, go to Settings> Battery, then press the three dots at the top right, and select "Battery usage". But it is true that compared to iOS, this information remains basic.
The Google Play Store is therefore full of battery-centric apps. After weeks of testing, I present to you my favorite: AccuBattery
This app presents a lot of information. In addition to providing an in-depth overview of the health of the battery, and data on actual battery capacity, charge rate, temperature, and voltage, it provides a wealth of other information.
For example, it is possible with this application to:
• Program a "charge alarm", in order to keep the battery charge below 80%, in order to prolong its life.
• Check battery consumption for the apps I use.
• Know how many times my smartphone wakes from sleep.
• Get estimates on remaining usage and remaining charge time.
• Know the discharge speed with the screen on and off.
And there are plenty of other features.
VersionFree or pro
This is the kind of app that needs to be installed and used for a while to reap the full benefits. After a week or so, you can start to get a good idea of what was using the battery the most. In my case, for example, YouTube Premium in the background was consuming a lot. The app also offers tips for getting the most out of your battery.
It is a good application. I used the free version with ads for about a week and then moved to the pro version, which unlocks features like data history, dark mode, and a battery usage overlay.
Overall, I really like this app. If you are curious about how your battery is doing, the free version will be enough for you. But if you really like the app and the advertising bothers you, then the four dollars I paid for the pro version is worth it.
